OMG..where has this author/cartoonist-Travis Kelly been? What a hoot. I'm a former history teacher and this book provides such a humorous, sarcastic, yet telling perspective regarding the historical account we've been taught that it should be discussed in every college history class around the globe. What a great tool for a college class to discuss and understand cause & effect combined with art history and learning to view the status quo with a cynical and learned eye. Hah..for me Travis Kelly has channeled Howard Zinn through his pen. Fantastic sketches, what an artist. I feel really lucky I ran across this book. Heck, forget higher education...get a copy and use it for party's...Hell I would love to have transparency's of it to project on the walls. Great Book. Fresh, funny, insightful. Can't say enough. Thank you Amazon.

Lindbergh Enrages Paris And Other Travesties of History Travis Kelly 9781477569665 Books Reviews

I've been looking around for just such a book as a history teaching tool. Really excellent stuff here, and stylish work. Bravo, Mr. Kelly.
First you'll laugh your butt off. Then you'll marvel at the level of detail in the artwork. Then you'll realize just how clever and multi-leveled the humor really is. Then you'll realize just how much subtle stuff is packed into every drawing.

Then you'll have an impulse to buy copies for everyone you know (at least everyone cool enough to get this kind of thing). My advice Follow said impulse!
